A Welcome From Our Chair & Director

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our grassroots campaign! I am James Dimas the individual behind the movement Fight for Tuvalu. To be honest with you this movement has been going on for years, empowered by the Tuvaluan people. I am just spreading the word beyond borders and providing a solution to the issue presented.

I am a law and economics student from South Australia who is now dedicated to establishing legal protection for individuals displaced due to climate ramifications. This year apart of my academic studies I was tasked to write a thesis on any topic and I focused on the climate displacement of Tuvalu.

"Being the son of an migrant, I have always been intrigued by the patterns of migration, but due to global warming, a new form of migration is looming."

This movement not only raises awareness for Tuvalu's situation and empowers campaigns such as land reclamation projects and education reform, but demands action on part of international legislators toforever protect those displaced due to climate reasons.I am currently working with UN legislators to reform gray-areas in international law that fail to protect Tuvaluans, the world's first climate refugees. The Tuvaluan people are amongst other things, some of the nicest, energetic and empowering people I have ever met and they do not deserve what is happening to them. FightForTuvalu in the near COVID normal future is to initiate on-ground operations and I hope you will join us on this journey.

The Tuvaluan people are the nicest, energetic and empowering people I have ever met and they do not deserve what is happening to them. I am to travel to Tuvalu in the near future to meet you wonderful people in person and experience your beautiful country.

Summary:

A movement of this scope and scale is only possible through the combined support of hundreds of individuals, organisations and all levels of local and international Governments. We sincerely thank the continued strong support from the Tuvaluan people and their Government whose support through our media campaigns and educational pieces allows us to continue presenting major centerpiece works including land reclamation projects, access, education programs etc. We are so happy to have you as a part of this movement and can't wait to start working with you!
